Panoramica pictures an unstable, modifiable, and often oppressive present where objects, gestures, and products overlap and collide. Using a labor-intensive process of multiple exposure, layering, screens, and cut paper constructions, Costa aspires to a precise and pristine machine look, while inevitably retaining a touch of human heart as the photographs themselves become physical proxies for the desires and consumer dreams they picture.
